At 2.27 that was the former canteen were students and staff and tutors ate. I was a student their from 1991-1993. Real sad to see what has happened to Coleg Harlech. Have many happy memories of being in that tower block and living in Harlech itself. Returned back over the years as the place is so beautiful and haunting. A great but sad film, thanks for that. ps. Your right at 7.04 that was indeed the Common Room where students would meet, hold Union Meetings etc The very top apartment was where a tutor, his partner and their dog lived for many years.

7 years ago this place looks relatively intact, went there a few weeks ago half the buildings ar3 destroyed and theres someone living in the basement now 😂 and its overgrown to fuckery

it is very annoying when people try to change history. aston hall was given to the people of aston manor by queen victoria, aston was not then part of birmingham. birmingham council did not exist then it was called birmingham corporation. when we were young in the 1950s we played there. secret passages also there is a tunnel down to aston church it went from there to the top litchfield rd opposite then midland county dairies. when the aston express way was dug out they come across it. you cannot change history.

The projection TV used to be on the 2nd level of the IT block, remember watching an England game in the world cup in Japan 2002 on it, just wondering how they got it to the common room lol. Stayed in the flat for my interview, first set of rooms just after TV, yes that was common room. I spent 2 terms in room with closed door just after the pants, they weren't my pants lol. Then 1 term in 5/1, lovely view of castle. I was there 2001/2

Ah the Cottage dare I say one of Wednesbury's most Urban explored Buildings. I don't know about the Railway Tavern I remember it as a young lad we were with some friends and got in it's cutting in there car I can't remember if they were wanting to try and reopen it and rats jumped over the car. Now long gone and the train station is set to built near it. But this I remember a few years ago getting lost I only knew Kings Hill Park where I lived Brunswick I didn't know was opposite. I was tempted to look in but then we moved away and I looked at Street View and saw it gone. I heard mixed reviews some stating it was a good pub well run quality place others said it was rough as if you wanted a fight you walked in there. My Dad I think says it was known for where the Coppers used to go. But I heard if you wanted a fight It was there in it's later days bit like the Moxley Arms in Moxley. I am always curious by these old pubs my parents ran pubs so I know what they are like. I also wondered what they would have been like now I am old enough to drink. Would it have been a good pub.

Shame that you missed one of the more interesting features. That knight at 5:32 on the right hand side of the screen is one of my ancestors. They were the Attwoods and owned large tracts of land around there. The knight had gone out in the crusades and had been captured he prayed hard for his release and was miraculously transported on the wings of a swan to the meadow below his home. It is called the legend of the swan.

The caverns are called stopes and the filled in bits are where they put waste instead of hauling it out of the mine.The neatly stacked rock walls are called gobbing.

You never go down any mines alone, espcially when you have no knowledge of what you're doing & you have no knowledge whatsoever! It's just stupid & dangerous & if something happened other would have to put their lifes at risk to get you out!

Been there, done that. Went up the chimney to 500ft. Went all round the base of cooling tower 4. And was paid as well.

Lovely video, brings back many good memories. At 16:35, you can see a large oil painting in the background (a pity you didn't focus on it, but then again there is so much to see) by Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones, entitled, "Love Among the Ruins". I recall being near the staircase that is roped off with a "private" sign and hearing a tourist say to his wife, "Look dear, we can go up there for some privacy."

Great video mate.

The bit you go into at the end was the Hall kitchen gardens. It had a row of brick buildings on the southern edge where you were and a green house at the northern edge. It was built in the 1740s, and was still in use in the 1950s - there are some high res aerial photos of the site that show it clearly on the Britain From Above website.

The mine your in is cwmystwyth mine..Very old and dangerous..Been exploring it for 30yrs..The adit level you entered looked like Bonsall adit level heading into level fawr..Great video 👍
